Social Chair: Alicia (Lissy) Green
The Social Chair is responsible for managing the Ents Committee, which is comprised of Junior and Senior Ents coordinators, who organise and execute both small and large scale events within Castle throughout the year. These events range from themed formals and hounds to balls such as Ladies Night and Halfway Hall. The Ents committee, as one of the larger societies within college, has a lot to offer – positions on the team include sourcing aesthetics, logistics and administration, seeking sponsorship, selecting food and drink, and recruiting bands for entertainment.
The Social Chair is also the President of The June Ball Committee, responsible for recruiting and coordinating a team of directors and assistants who work tirelessly to organise one of the largest and most prestigious balls in the country. The Committee structure their ideas around the President’s chosen theme, which then is revealed on the night of the ball – the committee are therefore responsible for keeping Castle’s biggest secret all year round.
